Mabinogi KR Suggestion of the Month No.1 (September Edition)

  Hey guys,
  
  
  We the KR team has decided that we will be holding suggestions for Mabinogi every end of the month, opened for one week (7 days) before being closed. What does that entail? It means for seven days at the end of the month (lasting to the next month), you will have the opportunity to submit your suggestion and ideas to the devCat team.
  
  Since the members of the KR team have access to Mabinogi KR and can send suggestions via direct account link, it will be an opportunity to share with the devCat what we want to see in Mabinogi.
  
  Now, every month, we will only send a max of 10 suggestions. It will be voted for by the Korean Test Members and at the end of the time period, we will announce which top 10 suggestion of the month will be translated into Korean and sent to devCat.
  
  Want to at least have a shot at hearing your ideas/wants to devCat? An opportunity will be created for the Mabinogi community! Also anyone can suggest an idea. You do not have to play in NA specifically, you can play TW, JP, or CN, it doesn't matter. If you have an idea/suggestion, please feel free to.
  
  
  Now the Limits:
  
  

  
  
  • Limit 3 ideas at most per user.
    
  • You can post as much as you want and be detailed, but you cannot go over the Mabination character post restriction.
    
  • Do not post silly things ("I want unlimited gold for my account", etc.) those will be ignored, though things like ("I want events to give more gold via gold checks like the spinning board events") will be ideas that are accepted.
    

  
  
  
  Now tips to help your chances at getting your suggestion voted:
  
  

  
  
  • Keep your ideas within the realm of the Mabinogi system. It means things like space battles are out of questions. Please remember the system limits.
    
  • Detailed post are more likable. It's easy to say "I want this xx" to be implemented, but actually being detailed and putting reason why it should is easier for devs to see your side.
    
  • Argue why it would be a great addition to Mabinogi, and if bug fixes, why such bug fixes needs to warrant it, or why skills rebalance is needed
    

  
  
  
  If your suggestion did not go through this month, please do not give up and try next month. All suggestion to us are welcomed and we are glad to hear what you have to say. However, to clarify, this does not mean devCat will implement your ideas, but rather this is just an opportunity to express your idea.
  
  Ultimately it is up to devCat on whether they like your idea or not and whether they think you have something going. When writing suggestions, please treat it as if you're presenting it to devCat themselves and not the KR test team.

  1) New, bigger gold pouches. Ideally something in the 3x3, or even 4x4 size that can hold 500k.
  
  Even at 4x4 for 500k the best alternative in that space is 8 Lorna Gold boxes with a capacity of 400k, so they're still an improvement, and making them 3x3 would be a huge space saver to people who do a lot of moderately expensive NPC transactions. A complete set of repairs for some people can take half a dozen trips to the bank to "reload", or requires an entire inventory of pouches just to handle it. With the other financial limits expanded this was overlooked.
  
  2) Carpentry benches for homesteads, long overdue since we have the Alchemy ovens now and the two locations you can get to a bench are hardly convenient reduce the value of being able to have your own stumps in homestead when you still have to go back to those two spots to use them anyway.
  
  3) Be able to use Fragmentation on the items from Shyllien/Magic Craft and Hillwen/Engineering. With such high ingredient material costs and no alternate means of getting materials this broadens both those skills while making Fragmentation feel less abandoned since it has such a limited number of items.

  PTJ count should stop decreasing. It penalizes people who are busy in real life or want to take a vacation and makes the a title and journal points extremely annoying to get.

  I've had a few ideas for the first two and even the 3rd (well first half of the 3rd) but....eh....anything they do just to change it up for how it is now.

  The whole point is to submit actual ideas though. Not 'go do something's. That's about as constructive as telling them to 'fail less', instead of telling them what's actually wrong so they can fix it. They can't pass it to the dev team if you don't tell them what it actually is you're suggesting.

  Why?: As of right now, there is no real reason to rank the passive masteries for Water cannon or Flame burst damage.
  * Chain Cylinder's Cooldown is reduced while dual-wielding cylinders.
  Why?: Pure alchemists should not worry about charging their offensive skills in most combat situations.
  * Add in Elemental Wave effects for Rain casting, Barrier Spikes and Hydra Transmutation.
  Why?: Seeing how Elemental wave effects alot of utility skills, I don't see why those three aren't up there in the list.

  Also on Spoiler 2, I was too lazy to go and find my better ideas. So here's my 'meh' one.
  
  [SPOILER="1) Dungeon revamp."]
  Dungeon update
  
  Every dungeon now has a dungeon board inside near the alter. At the dungeon board you can do a few things.
  Buy any pass for the dungeon (will go into detail later)
  Take up to 10 party quests for the dungeon. (Will go into detail later)
  Request a pass modification (Will go into detail later)
  
  Every dungeon room you clear will give you and your party a bit of exp. The exp is not split and is a fixed amount unless you are using a larger party. (This is self explanatory. You get x amount of exp depending on dungeon and room type. For 4 orb rooms, you get exp based on how many orbs where hit. EVERY monster in the room MUST be dead unless a summon of some sort.)
  Hallway mobs will not give room style finish exp.
  The boss room will give you both a large amount of exp and completion gold and exp. Similar to shadow missions and theater missions.
  
  Nearly every dungeon boss buffed in some way. Most being ADV heavy standard and raid style HP.
  
  Every dungeon gains a Hard Mode (maybe not Peaca...not sure.) and an Abyss. (Abyss dungeons still need passes from shadow and now theater missions.)
  Every dungeon gains a boss rush mode.
  
  Barrier spikes can be used inside of Abyss dungeons.
  
  
  
  Now for some details.
  
  Buy any pass for the dungeon
  
  
  Take up to 10 party quests for the dungeon
  
  
  Request a pass modification
  
  
  Edit: Also some dungeon spawns now have healer mobs and 'buff' mobs that can buff the mobs in the room with similar effects like that of bard. (They tend to only have 1 or 2 buffs and they're instant and always on for as long as that mob is alive.)
  
  Edit 2: I forgot to go into detail on something. Depending on the dungeon and modifications and difficulty, you are advised to go with x amount of people. For really hard stuff it's generally a full party. Going with the wished amount doesn't really do anything, going in with MORE than that decreases exp by a small % per person depending on their CP, ignoring -CP stuff.
  
  Also normal passes are a thing but not a drop. You can still drop anything to do into a dungeon.
  
  Revamp of Iria Dungeons.
  
  They still must be found every time they poof. Exploration exp for finding them buffed greatly (if there is any to begin with).
  
  Just like the other dungeons they too get a dungeon board but no hard mode variants.
  
  Each room gives a slightly smaller exp amount but also gives an expl exp amount. This goes for the boss rooms too.
  
  Dungeon boards here do not let you buy statue parts. You still must get those on your own but once you have them you can trade them in for glowing ones. 5 of x part and some gold or ducats will do.
  
  You can also, without doing the expl quest, turn statue parts into statues here for a little bit of gold or ducats.
  
  You can only modify completed statues.
  
  There are 4 modification slots here. If you modify here you MUST use a slot on amplified HP. This is why there are 4 slots. You still get the exp and now exploration exp bonus for the amplified HP. The exploration % increases is still smaller than the exp increase however.
  
  
  New modification for both Udalh and Iria dungeons.
  
  Title modification. It adds a very small exp and expl exp buff. Selecting this also doesn't cost that much in gold or ducats. It makes it so that every room has a large change of spawning monsters with titles. Titles depend on dungeon and difficulty.
  
  Continuing my dungeon revamp:
  
  Upon clearing a dungeon you get a buff/debuff to completion exp/gold depending on what you did.
  All of these require you to be in a party of 2-8.
  
  Designated doorman: Open the most dungeon doors out of everyone in the party. +5% exp +1% gold
  
  Chest man: Open the most dungeon chests out of everyone in the party. +2% exp +.5% gold
  
  Orb smasher: Activate the most orbs out of everyone in the party. +1% exp +1% gold
  
  Designated healer: Heal the most HP points in the party (must heal over 2k hp). +2% exp
  
  Tanker: Take the most dmg in the party and have the least amount of deaths (must take over 2k dmg). +4% exp +1% gold
  
  Strong man: Deal the most dmg in the party. +3% exp +.5% gold.
  
  Slayer: Defeat the most mobs out of everyone in the party. +1% exp
  
  Phoenix: Revive the most party members out of everyone in the party (pets do not count, must be more than 5). +3% exp
  
  Invincible: Do not take any damage at all (You cannot get this unless you are the only person in the party to get it. Only for hard mode) +5% exp +5% gold
  
  Treasure hunter: Open at least 3 chests in a treasure room. +.5% exp +5% gold
  
  Room hog: Open the most chests without at least half of the party in the room. -5% exp -2% gold
  
  Dead man: Die the most in the party (must die over 5 times.) -1.5% exp -.5% gold
  
  Potion problems: Drink the most hp potions out of anyone in the party. -2% exp
  
  Glory hog: Defeat the boss without any party members entering the room. -20% exp -20% gold
  
  Speedster: Spend more than half of the dungeon mounted on a pet. -2% exp -5% gold (total time on a pet > total time on foot)
  
  
  Iria dungeon buffs only:
  
  Artist: Sketch at least 5 mobs +2% expl exp +.5% exp
  
  
  And idk if this should be both or just one of the two...
  
  Monster tamer: Tame at least 10 mobs. +5% exp (or expl exp)

  [SPOILER="2) Theater mission Revamp"]
  Theater missions now have a 'chain bonus' to them.
  
  Doing any mission followed by another mission will start a chain bonus. Once you exit your first mission this bonus starts and lasts for 3 minutes. Entering another mission during this time will increase the exp you earn a bit. This will increases more and more every time. It caps out after 15 missions.
  
  Missions now stack up to 3 in your inv. You can purchase up to INT from the NPC. You may also purchase in stacks of 5, Silver and gold pages at somewhat high prices.
  
  You may spend 50 of each page to put a theater mission sheep on your HS. It has 2x the max amount of pages a regular theater sheep has and recharges every 5 RL hours.
  
  MA tourney receives a smaller boost, that shity expedition mission (All I will ever call it :p) gains a much higher boost in exp as well.

  Enchant revamp:
  
  AP cost change from 135 to 179
  
  Enchants of any rank higher than your current rank of enchant require step enchants.
  Enchants of your rank or lower do not require any step enchantments but step enchants will greatly increase the ability of a great success.
  Book pages and elements now show the rank of your enchantment when you use them. This effects them in no way. These are now their own training options for each rank starting at 9. You DO NOT have to use them to rank any rank and you do not need them for the master title as rank 1 does not include them in the steps to mastering.
  
  Enchant rank effects your success rate and your chances of a regular or great success. It also decreases how much dura both the scroll and the item may lose.
  At higher ranks, lower rank enchants gain more %s
  At higher ranks, lower rank enchants also gain a better chance to have a great success. This caps out at 15 which is only for F-B at rank 1.
  
  If an Enchant is 2 ranks above your rank and you fail, you have a chance of losing 0-2 dura.
  If an Enchant is 3 ranks above your rank and you fail, you have a chance of losing 1-3 dura.
  If an Enchant is 4 ranks above your rank and you fail, you have a chance of losing 2-5 dura.
  ect...
  If an Enchant is rank 6+ and you fail, no mater the rank you have a chance of losing #. This # is based on your current rank and at rank 1 is 2+(6-enchant rank).
  
  If you do not use enchant powder you lose 25% success rate but have a slightly higher chance to get a great success. (+10%)
  
  Starting at Rank 7, Rank F enchants will have a 99% success rate.
  Starting at Rank 6, Rank E enchants will have a 99% success rate.
  Starting at rank 5, Rank D enchants will have a 99% success rate.
  Starting at rank 4, Rank C enchants will have a 99% success rate.
  Starting at rank 3, Rank B enchants will have a 99% success rate.
  Starting at rank 2, Rank A enchants will have a 99% success rate.
  Starting at rank 1, Rank 9 enchants will have a 99% success rate.
  
  
  Int still effects enchant but much less than before and it caps at 600int now.
  
  Regardless of rank enchants still work the same.

  • Music scores special effects are replaced by a buffed version Barry's special music score effects, the actual effect based on a random roll and dependant on the player's playing instrument and musical knowledge rank

  • Players can now opt to choose to role play as monsters from the quest board. The player will be randomly thrown in an existing shadow mission/dungeon and plays against the other players. On death the player is revived and immediately role plays another monster. Gold and exp dependant on the amount of damage dealt against the other players
