I remember when everyone was so hyped for sing and being able to wreck stuff without needing an instrument to put things to sleep or buff them selves... What the hell happened to you people? Most of you got what you wanted then turned around to complain about it later...
My reaction to Singing was one of abject horror.
Also Equivalent, magic and alchemy needed a megabuff to not be utter trash tier. Still weaker than melee/range/puppet/gunner, though we can at least isolate the problem to Brokenfield OPerture now.
What we really need is better role definition. This is a list of how I think we should rebalance the classes around defined strengths and weaknesses, rather than just shitting out damage.
Puppet:
+CC and mob manipulation
-Damage (Take away Puppetry's STR/Dex scaling entirely, and if that doesn't kill its damage, then reduce the skill multipliers. Lower cooldowns a bit. Puppetry should have either CC or damage, not both.)
Melee:
+Knockback, tankiness, quickness and reliability
-Average raw DPS (actually non-lance melee is pretty much like this now)
Range:
+Highest single target DPS in the game
-Mediocre AOE (just nerf Crash Shot and range is perfect), risk of missing
Gunner:
+Massive burst damage and decent AOE
-Unsafe (maybe raise SR and Frenzy cooldowns? to emphasize this? Seeing SR tends to put you in the middle of the mob), and takes time to ramp up (lower multipliers a bit, give more damage from stats?)
Alchemy:
+Lots of utility and mob management, highly versatile
-Not much upfront damage except for a
dedicated Water Cannon user
Fighter:
+Strong single target damage and lockdown potential
+Easy to use
-Almost no AOE potential
-Prone to multiaggro
-Easily interrupted
Magic:
+Highly versatile, strong AOE burst damage, solid single target damage
-Long cast times in most cases, high resource usage (maybe tone down Firebolt but that's pretty much it)
Bard:
+Party Buffs
-Probably needs something associated with actually playing the instrument, not tap the buff button until it appears then switch back to main weapon. Overture needs to be hit no matter what.
