  I don't like their focus on fashion updates either, but this is pretty much their moneymaker.

  They've been known to be a pretty lazy, laid-back group. For them, it's much easier to add in non-combat stuff.

  Mabinogi has been dead to me since the SAO update. No more new challenges and I feel too lazy to even log on anymore

  Edit: Also, not everyone has time for Mabi. I find myself logging on to afk for my spirit weapon and talk with some friends.Other than this,sheer boredom.

  selling account = easy to get scammed + hard to find someone actually interested in buying a whole account (who wasn't intent on scamming you in the first place)
  
  selling stuff for gold and then selling off the gold is actually much much easier

  Gold is just an item, while account on the other hand, will take more consideration.
  
  First off, your account may have some personal info. that may have to get changed in order to be for sale.
  
  Second, how are you going to charge for your character? What thing will you put value on? How reasonable will this be? This is a subjective matter, and doesn't have a standard price, while gold or in-game items do.
  
  While selling a whole account would be more ideal thing to do, it's actually harder to do so in reality because it's either risky or just difficult to find people who are interested in buying an account. I, for one, sure as hell am not interested in buying another account.
