I'm a bit late to the party but
Quote from Kaeporo;1254055:
Changes:
Normal attacks no longer consume durability while Final Hit is active.
Final Hit duration is reduced if Knuckles are equipped.
Charge/Assault Slash splash damage reduced from 80% to 70%.
Charge/Assault Slash splash damage no longer causes monsters to agro the user.
Charge/Assault Slash no longer knock splashed targets backwards.
The splash damage and impact radius of Charge is now rank dependent.
The impact radius of Assault Slash is now rank dependent.
hot damn
also...
Quote from Kaeporo;1254407:
They're also taking a stab at UI/beginner tutorials as well (again).
smh.
I know it may take some time for it to come to NA, but I'm at least intrigued by this.

Source: http://mabinogi.nexon.com/C3/post.as...XX4883150X12X1
Greetings, this is the Mabinogi Development Team.
Today through the Test Server, we were able to show everyone the contents of the Close Combat System Renewal Update!
With more than half of the Close combat contents, we have went through several concerns regarding it, and we showed everyone the first stage of revamp on Close Combat through the last testing on the Test Server after giving some changes towards the broad range of damages within the Close Combat, as we listened to everyone's opinions regarding the update.
The 1-on-1 talk with the players have become great help towards the development team, and with this as a start, we have come up with contents that could make Close Combat a more dependable skill set in the Mabinogi's Combat System.
The current Close Combat in Mabinogi is a very basic skill set which many players choose as a start.
It was a skill set that made everyone who you are in Mabinogi, in order to go through several Mainstream and Shadow Missions, where it is a nostalgic skill set to everyone. However the more veteran players have become depending on other new and powerful skill sets as Close Combat fell way too behind compared to the newer skill sets in terms of being dependable. The Development Team have seen that everyone wanted this skill set to be more dependable as all the other.
So despite the fact it was buried under and neglected behind for many years, thanks to everyone still giving interest and love towards it, and believing it is a very wonderful skill set, in order to make it more dependable and to let everyone use Close Combat as a true warrior, we have added more revamps and new skills as described below:
NEW SKILLS
1. Bash
This is a skill obtainable after raising Smash and Combat Mastery to a certain rank, and it can be tested on the Test Server.
Smash is the commonly used skill, but there was the problem that at times, it isn't that dependable in certain situations.
This is a skill that is able to be used in situations when Smash is difficult to be used.
[Image: http://i.imgur.com/JsU8u7v.jpg]
Only available to use with Close Combat Weapons.
With the Bash Skill, with every successful attack, Bash's Damage will rise. When the 5th Bash attack is successful, within a certain time limit, you may use Bash at maximum potential of the Rank.
HOW TO USE:
Bash - Normal Attack - Bash - Normal Attack - Bash - Normal Attack - Bash - Normal Attack.
* Able to nullify Defense.
* Cannot cancel Counterattack
* Difficult to use with Dual Wield (Currently)
* 249 AP cost from Rank F to 1
While Bash is active, as you attack simultaneously with it,
1 Hit Damage - 60%
2 Hit Damage - 90%
3 Hit Damage - 120%
4 Hit Damage - 200%
5 Hit Damage - 300%
Attacks after the 5 Hit are all 300% bonus buffed
If the target is changed, or weapon is changed or another skill is loaded, this skill will go back to its initial damage to start over again.
Current Korean Players Opinion Regarding this skill:
* Difficult to use with Dual Wield, Two-Handed Sword, and Two-Handed Blunt.
* Mostly good to use with Blunt + Shield and Axe + Shield.
* The way this skill is used is a bit complex and doesn't really help that much.
* Mostly useless against Heavy Stander equipped enemies.
* Lag can make this skill useless.
* This skill requires more development and changes.
2. Rage Impact
This is a skill obtainable after ranking Counterattack and Combat Mastery to a certain Rank, and available to test on the Test Server.
This is an AoE attack that stuns the enemies within the range with your rage. The enemies hit by this attack will be weak towards physical attacks for a certain time period.
[Image: http://i.imgur.com/6pYWrxt.jpg]
This will be able to help players go through situations when they are surrounded by multiple enemies and was unable to fight back quickly, letting everyone fight more as a warrior.
* Works similarly to Shockwave, only difference being the enemies don't get knocked over.
* Cooldown is 60 Seconds
* 249 AP cost from Rank F to Rank 1
* Attacks the enemies around you with 20% of your base damage.
* 5m Range
* Enemies that were hit by the Rage Impact will take 50%+ more damage from physical attacks. This lasts for 10 seconds
* Additional Stun Time for the Enemies - 1.6 seconds
3. Dual Weapon Mastery
This is a skill available to learn when you equip two weapons to your character.
When having two swords or blunts (in Giants' case), max and minimum damage, resistance to attacks, armor piercing, and balance will earn a boost.
*Reforges on the new skills will be added later in the future
* 231 AP cost from Rank F to 1
* 22 Luck Increase when Ranked all the way to Rank 1
* When Ranked all the way to Rank 1:
- Max Damage 10+
- Min Damage 10+
- Balance 15+
- Critical 14+
- Stun Resistance Rate 5%
- Armor Pierce 9+
Current Skills Revamp
1. Final Hit
Despite being Close Combat's advanced skill, as it was unable to fulfill its role, new revamps have been added to the skill to cover its weaknesses.
* The skill will not cancel even if the player is knocked over (from Firebolt, smash, etc.)
* Items can be used while the skill is active
* Skill's damage will be increased using the character's damage as base.
* The Attack Speed Boost from the previous Testing is now removed.
* Now shows Time Limit Bar similar to Way of the Gun.
At Rank 1:
- Active for 40 Seconds
- Cooldown 240 Seconds (4 Minutes)
- Teleport Distance: 16m
- Damage 400%+
2. Counterattack
* When Counterattack is used with a Close Combat Weapon, the player can walk with counterattack loaded.
3. Defense
* When Defense Skill is loaded while equipped with a Shield, the player can run with their normal walking speed.
* Works with Guard Cylinders (as they are categorized as Shields)
4. Heavy and Light Armor Mastery
* Defense and Protection stat bonuses from the skill have been raised up further
- Heavy Armor Mastery (Rank 1)
Defense 40+, Magic Defense 20+
- Light Armor Mastery (Rank 1)
Defense 20+, Magic Defense 16+

There's two new skills.
Rage Impact and Bash.
Also, it seems like you can walk with counter loaded when a sword is equipped, and run with def loaded with a shied equipped.

Wind Guard should be buffed too. Make the user be able to walk around at least to fix that annoying problem of enemies able to hit you while you cannot hit back save for using Windmill, or even allow potion usage.

Actually its more like a shockwave than a stomp.
Quote from Irazn;1256292:

It's called Bash. You're supposed to use it in conjunction with normal attack or smash and Bash gets stronger every time you use it.

I hope the crafting skill in question is Blacksmithing, though I kind of want a Blacksmithing overhaul first.
I don't want them to buff Dual Wielding. In no game have I ever seen them succussfully balance Dual Wielding. Either Dual Wielding is so useful that it makes other melee weapon combinations useless, or Dual Wielding is useless. What I really want to see is them to buff JUST One Handers. That being, just one One Hander equipped, without a second weapon or a shield, just one One Hander.
