Quote from Kingofrunes;1275605:
Which is why widespread boycotts are a waste of time. Nexon doesn't give a crud about their player base. The only thing they care about is your wallet. If you aren't providing them money, then they'll just toss the game and start a new one. They are constantly getting new games, pending on which is more profitable.
This too. And it's not like Nexon is a small company or that Mabinogi is their flagship game. We're more of a side game that they update and deliver.
Now, we're not saying you're wrong. I personally would love harder content, but boycotting Nexon would just be the downfall of the game (and it would be tough, if not nigh impossible, to organized a world wide bycott).
And if you want to go further with a possible scenario.
Let's say what if the boycott fails and they shut down Mabinogi?
Everyone will be sad but those who head the boycott won't say, "I'm sorry guys, I ruined the game and ended it, it'll be my fault."
No, they would haughtily stand on top and say, "Better the game be shut down for good now, instead of living like the trash zombie it has been for a while." then move to the next game only for the cycle to repeat itself without having learned anything.
Only for those who just supported the boycott to realize it was a bad idea to do that to a game that isn't a flagship nor as big as the other games the publishers host.

Now let's try the reverse, Nexon listens and implements the desired update with everything you suggested.
What if it becomes unpopular? What if people hate it and end up quitting the game? Will you be responsible for it? No, you'll just go, "In the end, it was Nexon's decision to implement it, not me. They could have changed it a bit better to suit other players."
That is one of the biggest hurdles in MMO, will an update increase profit?
Yes, there have been updates in other MMOs that increased playerbase, but at the same time, some games that were so hard or changed too much in one go, they lost a lot of players and only dedicated players play it.

I'm not saying your ideas are bad, it's just that it's unrealistic to us and even if you tell us in Mabination, "boycott" it would get us no where.
IF YOU WANT to make a difference, go post your game suggestion and we can translate it to Korea and set it off to the suggestion box using our Mabination Test Team's suggestion tickets. Some of the updates we had, the decision for renovation, etc. were because of player's request to "look at some of the older skill sets" and to "implement a raid system."
Heck even the charge skill was originally a user suggestion that became a real game skill, as some clothing designs were.
Instant Cast? A user suggestion that became real. Even mana recovery was a user suggestion. Oh and Arrow Revolver nerf was also that too.
If you want to make a difference, look beyond "world wide boycott" and look for ways to submit your ideas and wants in a better path.
They may not adhere to it, or even implement it, but they would see it. And the creators seeing it is much much better than it being here on nation where it reaches deaf ears.
Who knows? Maybe something may come out of it.
