endgame archers do upwards of 120k crit every 1-2 seconds
endgame archers do upwards of 120k crit every 1-2 seconds
It is... but you need a lot of MONEY. Campfire (you cant move around this junk), elemental reforge (real money expensive), mangum reforge (real money), bohemian set (gold cheap),magnum combo (hard to get and rm expensive to keep), Bhafel Hunter ( expensive gold and rm), effective range reforge, Battlefield Overture, Playing Instrument Effect (reforge).
I think those are the key to make archers "endgame" rewarding. Get it or go home, without those my dmg wont go higher than 16k
PS: my shuriken charge hits 20-25k without reforges or campfire, i was like wdf?
Am I the only one here who absolutely hates XIV? WoW-style combat is the most boring thing in the world, and when a game is built around it it doesn't matter what else you do, the end result will never be fun.
I don't really think you should pass judgement on it unless you have gotten a character to 50 and played level 50 content as well, even more so end game content.
I've seen 50 content streamed. Doesn't change the combat in any way. Also what kind of a game forces you to grind through suckage for that long before any fun can be had? You should absolutely be able to judge based on early impressions, especially once you get a good look at the core mechanics. XIV's core mechanics are WoW. I despise WoW combat.
I think the idea of "the game is only good at the level cap" is really annoying.
If your definition of end-game consists of point-blanking raccoons.

Actually, you're free to do other things on XIV if you want. It's just highly recommended to have a class up to level 50 and caught up on main quests because they help unlock many endgame dungeons and raids. But nothing is stopping you to go exploring or whatever it is you wanna do. Fashion, crafting, gathering, extra quests, mini-games, whatever. I've seen 50 content streamed. Also I highly disagree with this... if all a game can offer me is its combat style and nothing much else, I'll get bored fast. (TERA) WoW-style combat is the most boring thing in the world, and when a game is built around it it doesn't matter what else you do, the end result will never be fun.
