I will have to agree with Arsik on the post he made... I can tell some of the hypocrites for complaining about favoritism in this site.
I complained a lot about favoritism in the past and I often get bashed for it (which was waaaaay in the past, before some of our current moderators was regular members at that time...)
I'm not sure if I should bring this up or not but... does anyone remember this "purple name" incident? That was... one good example of favoritism and I was pretty hard/blunt on it as well.
And I myself try to not favor any members but I can honestly say it is VERY difficult to not favor someone else over some other person. I'm myself not a moderator but if I was favoring someone... I'd appericate if someone letted me know.
As for agruements... they often happens in the threads we made, Mabinogi section, Vindictus section, and even Lifestyle/Bean Rua section... I'd like it if it was maintained little more regularly because I know it can be frustrating sometime and the person just... goes all rude against you because they disagreed with your opinion and is not open to any parts of the opinions as well, so they won't face the truth and often will disrespect you in one or more ways... I've known it happened to me many times as well, like one time... I tried to be optimist about this agruement on Summon Golem, and someone called me a "troll" for me bringing up more points to counter the agruement on why Summon Golem should be nerfed (it was LOOOONG time ago as well, but I feel like it should've brought up as an example and such)...
And I think that is all of the feedbacks I have to share for this forum now. If I think of any more feedbacks... I'll be sure to edit my post or post them in the thread again.

The purple name and the skull icon issues weren't really to do with the staff. We had no part in adding them. There were a bunch of misunderstandings and miscommunications and the whole thing got blown out of the water. But I can tell you that a lot of the staff at the time had problems with it.

I propose an amendment to the Flaming Rule: It should be as it is now, but flaming Osay should be completely allowed because he secretly likes it.

Serious posts, please. This isn't Bean Rua.

We're allowed to call out mods in PMs, right? I'm curious, I swear. I called out Osay in a PM once for using the R word.

The one time it isn't Bean Rua. The ONE TIME.
Then, I'd like a more clearly defined off-topic rule, that is more enforced. I see some topics getting off-course too easily.

If you feel like a staff member has done something wrong, then you can PM someone on staff about it. Whoever you feel most comfortable with.

That can definitely be taken into consideration. While there
is a possibility for a certain topic to generate an entirely new topic of discussion that clearly connects, we do need to watch out for things getting too far...

Inapplicable: You told me yourself that you were reporting it. Why would I report it as well?

Being 16+ doesn't necessarily mean that you have to allow nudity o r inappropriate content. I think that you should really rethink it if you want to allow nudity so long as genitals aren't showing (because going off this thread, it doesn't really look like many people are in agreement with that decision.)
there is nothing "inappropriate" about boobs especially to anyone 16 in older
shit, in highschool you see other people naked in the locker rooms.
don't like a photo? block it
can't do that? disable avatars and signatures?
don't want to do that? oh well.

I'm not sure what kind of high school you go to, but locker rooms are generally not mixed sex, and even public schools have dress codes. Inappropriate perhaps isn't the right word, but please don't start with semantics. Just focus on the "nudity" or "suggestive content" part of it.

being nude isn't necessarily "suggestive"

It's best to call them out to someone other than themself, such as me.

Quote from Arsik;949811:
I love the hypocracy in this thread. We have a good number of users complaining or mentioning of favoritism in the staff, which is true is some aspects. But you, the users, are also very much playing favorites. I'll use myself as an example.
Last month, as many of you remember, I made a post in reply to Loopulse that was pretty much nothing but me trying to hurt his feelings and make him leave this site. I knew that what I was about to post was wrong, and I knew I would get in trouble for it, but I posted it anyways, and reported my own post, pretty much telling the staff that I just needed to say it to vent or whatever. And when I asked how many other people reported that post, I was told I was the only one to report the post. And yet, even though it was very rule breaking and should have been deleted the second a mod saw it, and given me an infraction for it, I had gotten 8 reps for that one post, just because I, a generally well loved member of this site, bashed a member that very few people here like.
I guarantee you that if something in that equation changed, for example, I was a new member of the site who just joined to attack Loopulse, or if I as I am now attacked a different member, for example Hanna, for where she was making a new thread in Bean Rua for practically everything that was happening with her life as it was going on, similar to what people have turned Twitter into, the post would have probably seen more than just my report, and I highly doubt I would have gotten any rep from the community. So for people to come here and say that the staff is playing favorites badly, and yet not take into consideration that they themselves play favorites for pretty much the same exact issues, as seen in this thread where people asked why Brad was banned "for no reason", but forgetting that the only other person that has been banned more than he has is Jordy, a person who had a personal grudge with Fal and just took it to other members he didn't like when he was done dealing with Fal.
So instead of just pushing all the blame for the bad behavior of the community on the staff, you guys should start doing an evaluation of how you guys are as a member of this community before you judge others.
How about we start awarding infractions to people who give rep to posts that should be reported?
Generally speaking, for a more efficient forum, it should be a rule that it's the members' duty to report a post if they see it, not give rep.

a dictatorship is hardly the answer
better solution would be to make any post receiving a warning have a negating effect on rep. rep from that post would be gray.

It is if it gets the job done.
If someone reps a post that insults someone, then that member themselves SUPPORT that insult, and they should receive an infraction for it, because they knew it was an insult and didn't report it.
