  Also we only have like 3 other people actively testing stuff on KR test to be honest and they are busy organizing Diva which we still haven't finished putting together.
  
  And that's between school, life, and doing their own things. so what you are requesting is simply out of the question unless you can magically poop out some usable KR accounts out of thin air.

  It's cool. The rage seems to be spreading around lately and my opinions probably arn't helping :point:
  
  I switched to an ego fire wand though, and I don't regret anything. I'm just trying to speculate on how it works. Didn't realize things were stretched so thin on KR test though, so I apologize for that.

  The Mana Shield Coefficient is reduced from 0.015 to 0.004.
  
  Most developed mages currently hold around 50~75 magic attack at present while equipped with a magic weapon. Developed mages will soon have around 400 magic attack while equipped with a magic weapon as intelligence now gives 1 magic attack per 5 int instead of 20 and weapon upgrades/special upgrades now give magic attack instead of magic damage. This is in addition to new equipment like the Bhafel Circlet.
  
  However, keep in mind that the most significant things which contribute to Mana Shield (Rank/Reforge) ignore the coefficient.
  
  Regardless, the magic attack portion (if properly equipped) will go from adding around 1.12 to around 1.6.

  Doing some quick calculations, at 200 MATK or so Mana Shield will be superior after patch to Mana Shield before patch at 50 MATK. So for mages, MS gets a huge buff and for non-mages, it gets a moderate nerf if you dont have 1k INT sans equips.

  Its the wand's damage. add the 20 to the formula and you get exactly 1750.32 damage. That comes very close to the actual max damage you have listed.

  Yea, the thing I'm missing too; the actual update ;~; So I can do testing as well. I'd volunteer for testing in Kr if i was Korean but unfortunately I'm not....
  
  Anywas my conclusion is...based on the non-ego test wand, with 64 magic atk, 20 max firewand, rank 9 fire mastery, rank 2 magic weapon mastery,rank 1? bolt mastery and the works, I took the first equation, which did not include the wands max damage added in.
  
  (45+5+64*.5)*(1+.15+.09+1.4)*6.5
  =
  1407.12
  
  which comes up short of King's figures of 1750 non-ego damage.
  
  Now, King mentioned he upgraded his wand for max damage, which gave a grand total of 20.
  
  So I decided to input that number in:
  
  (45+20+5+64*.5)*(1+.15+.09+1.4)*6.5
  which comes up with
  1750.32
  
  It's probably the most accurate result, but I'd have to test it myself to confirm it...anyways, if King can test firebolt with a virgin wand, we'll have definitive results.

  Okay guys, I'll clarify this on king's part (and to help him out).
  
  As of right now, we don't have a high enough ego wand on both test or live, so it is hard to test how much difference an ego wand is going.
  
  We are searching KR sites and all other seats of information, but we've come across many different formulas that is hard to figure out what is true and not.
  
  However, while observing live, people hit much much harder than what we observe from those formulas so something is off.
  
  We even have a suspicion that there's actually a "hidden" co-efficient roll when you cast a spell that gives "additional multipliers" to make magic hit harder at times. There's even KR sites speculating that this hidden roll is why meteor strike can hit as low as 30k damage to even as high as 80k damage, and even the KR community keeps proposing such formulas.
  
  However, for the NA community, it pains me to say we cannot accurately give such information. Kingofrunes has been working nonstop in both his real life, in-game, and his work for the team that his admiration to find what even the KR doesn't believe is concrete information themselves, is quite astonishing. It makes one really appreciate the hard work he has put.
  
  And yes, while you may think this magic formula is important, the team is divided into different sections for research.
  
  If we were to dedicate a majority of man power, information, and resources to find a magic formula that even the Koreans haven't nailed down perfectly, we will be nothing more than playing catch in a desert.
  
  It was under my decision that the other team members be allocated to other information projects, such as Diva, Professor J, Master Chef, Treasure Hunter, Smart System, etc. in order to collect and have better use of their time.
  
  But as of today, I have decided to release king from researching the magic damage formula or any ego-related formula until the Koreans, yddhz, aa2 blog, or other sources present a solid formula with proof that matches the screenshots, videos, and eye witness in-game (And no, the formula presented in yddhz, aa2 blog, etc. do not match what we see, and at best, just theories those sites presents). I believe kingofrunes' dedication and talent will be spent elsewhere on another project that is more fruitful.
  
  I am sorry to those that wish for a magic formula, but I do not like to waste what little the KR team has on something that cannot be found within a reasonable amount of time. I hope that you understand and once again I apologize.
  
  If you want to ask anything else about the Merlin update other than the magic formula or ego weapons, please feel free too. However as of right now, kingofrunes is done with his Merlin update and has covered it very well.
  
  Please do not forget to give him your thanks and I hope you look forward to the other Hero and update threads from the team in the near future. =)
  
  With that said, as of this post, this Merlin Consolidation Project is finished and this thread is finalized.

  As for the Magic Attack vs Casting Speed reforge that comes down to preference.
  
  Do you want longer charging stronger attacks or faster casting but lower damage attacks?
  
  Also Magic Attack Reforge is better than Hailstorm max as it's more general and if the formula is correct, will provide a lot more fire power to the formula.
