Why? Detailed explanation and not including blaze, please?
Seems like casting speed upgrades are the way to go then. Losing out on 10 matk post update is basically nothing unless you're doing meteor.
IS+Blaze is a power combo.
I can't explain, but i am sure anyone else who abused the hell out of blaze before nerf could tell you.
Also an Rtypeable blaze wand. Good lord.

So now blaze is a staple of magic? :L
What about without blaze?

Blaze was quite the spell used when it first came out.

Irregardless of the 'you wern't around for this', I've fiddled around with blaze and I can't seem to get it to work for whatever reason. So i'd like to avoid using it unless it's going to be the act 7/windmill of magic.
It probably was different back in the day. I've only seen blaze used by someone in an actual run once during my time in mabi, so I can't really comment on it.

Blaze is extremely sensitive to lag displacement.
Also it's fun to play bowling with.

That's why i'm trying to work out how to have as little as possible to do with it. >_<
Also, what.

Looks like griefing to me.
I didn't know that blaze hit multiple targets. It's an AoE attack?
At first I thought it was showcasing massive lag when using blaze. That's how my client runs normally =D

If pvp is on, it's most definitely not griefing

Gen, can you please go back a few pages to the Martial Arts Video of the mage. You can clearly see them using blaze multiple times. It hits a single target initially but when the mob gets pushed back it causes an explosion that hits for AoE damage.
If you watch closely you'll notice a combo that I"m sure you'll love. Crisis -> Ice Spear -> Blaze (77k Blaze Damage)
So yes, Blaze is like the Act 7 of Magic :P
Go go Savage Ice Wands!

I'll also go ahead and add it to the OP for convenience.
Btw, double checked the masteries. They are still %'s at least. Going to keep the same assumption I previously had on them

Staff can also use blaze so savage ice wand is useless. I believe hermit staff give the most magic attack with all the max roll and upgrade count in.
Edit : o wait, i don't think staff grant 100% damage for blaze. Nvm.
After revamp, Blaze is good, fusion bolt is good, bolt is good, all int magic is good, hailstorm is good, meteor strike is good,
ALL spell get good.
Goodie.
